WAI 2022 – Authors Connect

“Surround yourself with people who are moving in the direction you want to go.” This is what I’ve done ‘virtually’ for the past year with the Aviatrix Writers. It was wonderful to meet so many in-person at WAI and be inspired by their success. I spent the conference being the ultimate groupie, helping the authors set up, break down, and sell their books. I also hosted the first authors panel discussion and author reading.

Congratulations  to all of the authors, most of whom sold ALL of the books they brought to the conference. And a HUGE thank you to Carole Hopson, Cecilia Aragon, Bev Weintraub, and Julie Tizard for sharing your insights on writing and publishing at the first ever (to my knowledge) authors’ panel at WAI where we talked about overcoming fears and doubts to share our aviation stories through writing. It was so exciting to see the women in the audience leaning in and taking notes as you talked. I could FEEL the inspiration happening in the room. We wrapped it up with a full house for the readings. I LOVE this community.
