Zoe’s Big Flight
School’s almost out! Zoe’s excited about the adventures summer break brings, including her first flight on a vacation to New Orleans. There’s just one catch. She’s afraid of flying. Determined to conquer her fear, Zoe is in for a big surprise the moment she walks onto the plane.
An even bigger surprise awaits when Zoe is invited to a summer camp where she could learn to fly along with dozens of kids just like her. She’s just had her first plane ride, and the thought of learning to fly is both exciting and scary.
Follow along as Zoe’s journey brings opportunities and uncertainty. Will the support of her family and friends and her perseverance give her the courage to try a new adventure?

About the Author
As a 6-time published author, I write children’s books to model loving families, supportive friendships, a sense of community, and kindness. While my stories represent all kids, I place a special emphasis on children of African descent.
One mission: inspire people and bring them joy through positivity, kindness, and creativity.
I’m a US Air Force veteran and have worked in academic and corporate roles in public health, program management, consulting, and as an adjunct professor. I’ve published six books and owned a franchise restaurant that was not only a big flop, but one of the greatest lessons on leadership, persistence, and decision making I will ever have. Experience and failure are great teachers.
Persistence matters, and our experiences prepare us for the moment we are in right now.
My purpose is to model family, friendship, community, and kindness through my books and speaking engagements.
When I’m not working, I enjoy hanging out with friends and family, eating good food, listening to funky music, and traveling to interesting places.
God blessed me with three children. They are a constant source of inspiration.
