The Sun’s Secret

In a setting of red rock canyons and creeks running through evergreen forests, ancient pottery is discovered from a tour helicopter in a cliff cave in Sedona, Arizona. Before the cave can be explored by the Forest Service, the artifacts are stolen. The discovery of the pots was big news, so was their disappearance. News reporter/pilot, Jerry Foster, helped investigate the story. Joanna Coltrane, as an Arizona Department of Public Safety helicopter pilot, assists in the hunt, and, by chance, Joanna’s sister, while completing the final cross country for her fixed-wing rating, discovers a separate stash of stolen artifacts. As they delve into an American tribe’s beliefs and heritage, watched by their ever-vigilant crows, they ponder the ongoing question about who artifacts belong to – an ancient tribe’s descendants, a museum, or the people who took them?
