Air Race Classic 2022 Girls’ Aviation STE*A*M Day at Florida Air Museum + Fun Market Research

I brought the STEAM to the 2022 Air Race Classic Girls’ Aviation STEM Day at Florida Air Museum in Lakeland with a table full of books and a special ‘market research’ activity for the girls. I love having the opportunity to share the many published works that offer young girls and women role models from throughout our aviation history for them to aspire to. But I’m just one person, who can only participate in one event at a time, and there are so many stories that haven’t been told in books yet. I have a vision to address this gap in our canon, however, and to reach thousands of girls across the country and the world. I decided to do a little market research at this event to see what my target audience might think of it.

The girls (and ladies) weighed in, and, Survey Says: THEY LOVE IT! I can’t wait to find a partner who is interested in getting their brand in front of these girls to deliver my Aviatrix Trading Cards to outreach events, museums, and pilot shops. My vision is a first run of 50 women and their aircraft, some ‘All-Stars’, some ‘Rookies’ in mixed packs of ten. I have of dozens of diverse role models committed and waiting.
