Exotic Wings will take you through the journey I travelled from my sanctioned childhood to the war-torn teenage years, all the way to the American dream.
nGrowing up in Iraq has created a survivor I never thought I would become. Through the hardships I faced before, during, and after the war of 2003, I found so much strength worth sharing with all of you out there, who perhaps are wondering what it is like to live in Iraq.
nThere is a trauma to living under a dictatorship, economic sanctions, and one war after another.
nThis is a journey of recovery that will hopefully pave the path for some of you to learn to cope, embrace, and make peace with your past.
